Keeping Score

Keeping Score was a column I wrote for the UCSD Guardian for two years, during my tenure as News Editor and Editor In Chief.

Some fun stuff and some good columns came out of that period -- although you've got to keep in mind that sometimes these columns were written at the last minute when, as happens on a college newspaper, a story fell through.

And yes, the photo here (the one I use to this day) is my Keeping Score column photo, taken by the Guardian's photo editor on the wall of the UCSD student center, just outside the Guardian offices.

Kudos to Pete Ko, who was the sports editor at the G during most of these columns, except when he was silly enough to take the job as my managing editor. Crazy boy.
